Durerile de cap persistente și tensiunea facială sunt probleme frecvente, dar puțini oameni iau în considerare o posibilă cauză surprinzătoare: articulația temporo-mandibulară (ATM). Ce este ATM și cum poate cauza dureri de cap?

ATM este articulația care leagă mandibula de osul temporal al craniului. Orice disfuncție a acesteia poate afecta mușchii din jur, nervii și chiar circulația sângelui, declanșând simptome precum:

Senzație de presiune în zona tâmplelor

Trigeminal nerve, unul dintre cei mai importanți nervi cranieni, controlează atât sensibilitatea feței, cât și activitatea mușchilor masticatori. Când ATM este afectată sau masticatia este asimetrica se pot declansa dureri de cap și tensiune facială.
Stresul muscular și tensiunea cronică pot duce la compresie nervoasă și modificări ale fluxului sanguin cerebral, favorizând apariția durerilor de cap.
Relația cu postura – ATM are conexiuni biomecanice cu gâtul și coloana cervicală. O postură incorectă poate agrava simptomele și poate contribui la dureri de cap persistente.

Simptome care indică o posibilă disfuncție ATM

Impostors. I don't recommend. Very good at marketing until you get there. The clinic looks okay, but the first red flag is that... you're the only patient in the clinic. Then they sell you stories at exaggerated prices, saying you need to treat all your teeth, even though that's not what you asked for or need.
Your response is just as „personalized” as the treatment plans offered.
I am not publishing my real name precisely because you have already demonstrated in another review that you have no qualms about publicly disclosing confidential medical details regarding patients’ health issues, diagnoses, or treatments. This is an extremely problematic practice from the perspective of medical confidentiality.
I hope you never find yourself in a situation where anyone with internet access can find out details about your medical issues.

I have an older problem, for 5 years, with my TMJ, severe pain, dizziness, clicking, I wore braces for almost 2 years, I also underwent osteopathy techniques, I wore night guards, but they didn't help me much. My problem was as follows: within a year, my jaw locked five times – once when I yawned and my mouth got stuck open, and the other times after I fell asleep.
